Tea made from roasted Peruvian Cacao Husk.  We strip the husk after roasting beans sourced from the Norandino Cacao Cooperative in the Amazonian basin of Peru.

To get the most flavour and health benefits out of cacao husks, you should use methods that allow for high heat and sufficient steeping time.
Unlike delicate green teas, cacao husks are hardy and require a bit more ‘work’ to release their chocolatey oils.

Here are the three most effective methods:
1. The Teapot. A light, clean cup: 
2 tsp husks per cup with boiling water. Steep for 5 - 8 mins, or longer to suit your taste.
2. French Press:
3 tsp husk per cup with boiling water, stir, steep 8 mins then press.
3. Stovetop:
Add 2-3 tsp husks and 250-400ml water per cup, bring  to boil, then simmer for10-12 mins.
You can add milk of your choice to this one if desired. 

Pro Tips for the perfect cup:
Don’t be afraid of heat: Unlike green tea, cacao needs boiling water (100° C) to extract its chocolatey oils.
